Jonathan Brania joined UL in 1999 and has worked with the commercial appliance industry for over 10 years. He is currently UL’s Principal Engineer for Foodservice Sanitation, as well as UL’s Principal Engineer for Gas- & Wood-Fired Cooking Appliances. Jonathan is currently UL’s representative for NSF’s Joint Committee for Food Equipment; the North American Food Equipment Manufacturer’s Technical Liaison Committee (NAFEM TLC); the National Environmental Health Association’s Industry Affiliate; NFPA 54 (the National Fuel Gas Code for the U.S.); CSA’s Z21/83 Technical Committees for Gas Burning Appliances and Related Accessories; and is currently participating in the development of an international standard for food preservation and storage in household refrigerators. Jonathan is from UL’s Research Triangle Park Office in North Carolina.
