Monica Linnenbrink brings public affairs and strategic communications experience to the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Research and Development. She specializes in developing and implementing strategic communications and stakeholder outreach plans.
She has extensive experience with natural resources and environmental organizations through her work with the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the communications consulting firm DJ Case & Associates. Prior to joining EPA, she was the Communications, Marketing and Outreach Director for the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. While working at SCDNR, Monica led a team of graphic artists, public relations experts, natural resource educators, writers and editors to reach communication goals. This background has given her insight into the inner workings of government agencies and their relationships with partners and stakeholders.
She has a Master of Science degree in Public Administration and Policy from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from the University of Florida.
