Description

Seventy-five percent of all new or emerging diseases that threaten human health today are vector-borne. Even though state, tribal, local and territorial health departments are the first line of defense in the battle against vector-borne disease, they face many obstacles when tackling public health needs. In response, NEHA and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) worked together to develop an online resource to provide the environmental health workforce with up-to-date information and strategies for controlling ticks, mosquitoes, and rodents and preventing vector-borne disease.
